Sahayta members on national TV

Sahayta members speak about the organization's work and their own experience with cancer on Doordarshan, India's largest television network. The host Mrs. Swaran Gakhar interviewed Mrs Renu Saigal (President - Sahayta India), Mrs Gurpreet Khaira (volunteer), and Mrs Ved Nanda (volunteer). We hope the personal experiences shared by these three strong and courageous women will provide hope and inspiration to other cancer patients across the country and across the world.

Cancer widow's testimonial

Rita's husband was diagnosed with cancer more around ten years back. When they couldnt afford the treatment they approached Sahayta and we started sponsoring his treatment. Unfortunately he could not recover and Rita now faced the prospect of raising her four children by herself. Sahayta stepped in and started sponsoring the education of her children as well as helping her out with funds when she really needed them. In the past ten years she and her children have become a part of the Sahayta family.

PGI Doctor talks about Sahayta

Dr Pankaj Malhotra is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Hematology at the PGI Hospital, Chandigarh (one of the most renowned hospitals in the country).  He has been associated with Sahayta for the past twelve years and regularly refers patients who are poor (but have a good prognosis and can survive if given treatment) to us. Sahayta then starts sponsoring the treatment for those patients. He also trains Sahayta volunteers so that they can provide proper guidance and counselling to the patients.
